Plusling was founded in August 2026 by Nabil Freeman. It began as something he built for his own daughter as she prepared for the 11+ — the existing options felt dated, joyless, or designed to frighten parents into paying. Plusling is the product he wanted to exist: rigorous about learning, kind about everything else.

Why a feedback loop?

Learning a technique and finding out where to use more practice are different parts of preparation. Plusling focuses on the second: friendly quizzes, explanations, and progress that help you choose what to work on next.

We believe in a simple learning loop: try questions, notice a gap, work on it, and return to see how things are going. Use it alongside a tutor, learning with a parent, or independent study. Plusling is a practice companion, not a complete online teaching course.

The name

The name brings together “Plus” from the 11+ and “-ling” like duckling or seedling: a young learner at the start of an exciting journey. Every five-minute session adds a little skill, a little persistence, and a little confidence.

Our promise to families

No fear tactics. No countdown timers. No fake guarantees. No pretending we can predict school places. Free means free — no card required.

Questions worth trusting

Every practice question in Plusling is written by us — original, carefully checked, and never copied from real exam papers. When we point you to official past papers, we link you to the source rather than repackaging someone else’s work.

Open access during the alpha

During the Plusling alpha, every learner who signs in can use Flash, Focus, Survival, and Full Mock across all four subjects in the browser on a phone, iPad, or laptop. An adult can create a free family account with a mobile number — there is no card needed, no usage quota, and no paid-only practice mode while the alpha is running.

All questions & answers
What can my child do with Plusling?

Plusling is a place to practise 11+ skills, get feedback, and understand the answer before having another go. Your child can choose a subject, work through questions, and return to their results. You can follow their practice from your family account.

Can we use Plusling alongside a tutor or workbooks?

Yes. Plusling provides practice and feedback alongside a tutor, school preparation or home support with workbooks. A parent, teacher or tutor can help explain unfamiliar methods and use completed work to decide what to practise next. Plusling is a practice and feedback companion rather than a complete taught course.

Can siblings use the same family account?

Yes. Give each child their own learner profile so their practice and results stay separate. A family can include up to six approved members in total, including the account owner, other adults and children.
