Year 7 entry
For September 2027 entry
Shared entrance test across seven Gloucestershire grammar schools; two multiple-choice papers on verbal ability, numerical reasoning and non-verbal reasoning.
Assessment provider: GL Assessment
What the assessment covers
- Verbal ability
- Numerical reasoning
- Non verbal reasoning
Each chosen school reports whether the child reached its qualifying rank.
The 2027-entry test was administered by the grammar schools; the council directs test queries to them.
A qualifying rank is not an offer: a school must also be listed on the secondary application.
The schools have announced FSCE as provider for September 2028 entry, so current GL materials may not describe that later test.
