Entry information
Ashlea House School provides specialist education for boys aged 11–18 as part of its residential care provision. Admission is arranged through a referral and assessment of whether the school and home can meet the young person’s needs. The process brings together educational information, professional assessments and the care plan, with family involvement and a planned transition.
Entry stage: Specialist placement (boys, ages 11–18)
The admissions process
- Discuss the referral with Full Circle Care’s education team and the young person’s social worker. The school considers their needs, educational history and professional assessments.
- Senior staff assess whether the school and home can meet the young person’s needs and whether the placement is suitable alongside the existing pupils and residents.
- The social worker or parents complete a referral pack, and a placement and transition plan is developed. Visits and phased introductions are arranged where possible.
- The young person has an induction with the Head of School. Their starting timetable can be adapted to their previous education and needs.
