Entry information

Aspire Hall Green provides alternative education for young people aged 11–16. Places are usually arranged through schools, local authorities or other supporting organisations. Admission includes a meeting with the young person, parent or carer and referrer, consideration of support needs, and a two-week induction before reviewing the placement.

Entry stage: Referral placement (ages 11–16)

The admissions process

  • Contact the Hall Green school to discuss a placement. A supporting organisation usually makes the referral and funds the place.
  • Complete the referral form and attend a meeting with the young person, parent or carer and representative of the referring organisation. The school agrees expectations with them.
  • Provide any EHCP or other education and support plans before the placement. The school considers whether it can meet the young person’s needs.
  • During the first two weeks, staff assess needs and suitability. A review with everyone involved determines whether the placement continues.
