Entry information
Bath Academy’s academic provision is for ages 14–19, starting with GCSE courses rather than Year 7 entry. Its two-year GCSE programme is for students aged 14 and over; the intensive one-year GCSE course is for ages 15 and over. Admissions include an informal interview and consideration of prior attainment.
Entry stage: GCSE (14+), A-level and foundation-course entry
The admissions process
- Contact Admissions about the intended course and provide the initial information requested.
- The college invites students and parents to tour the college and have an informal interview with the Principal or Vice-Principal; online meetings are available for families outside the UK.
- The linked academic admissions policy describes assessment of previous school reports, transcripts or examination results, with references and support-needs information where applicable. For GCSE applicants it describes occasional diagnostic testing rather than normal selection by entrance tests.
