Entry information

Buckswood’s Junior School covers Years 7–9. Its non-selective admissions process considers previous-school reports, references and support needs. A language assessment applies to relevant overseas applicants; UK pupils may arrange an optional taster day. Contact admissions about Year 7 availability and the documents needed for your child.

Entry stage: Year 7

The admissions process

  • Contact the admissions team, arrange a visit if helpful and complete the school application or registration form.
  • Supply the requested identity documents, academic reports and previous-school references, together with information about any special educational or medical needs.
  • Where applicable, overseas applicants complete a written language-proficiency assessment; an interview may also be arranged. The admissions team supplies the placement test.
  • UK applicants may arrange a taster day, and international families may arrange a tour. The policy describes these as optional.
  • The school considers available places and whether it can meet the child’s needs. Follow the offer instructions for the acceptance form, registration fee and deposit, then complete the starter-pack documents.
