The admissions process

  • Apply by 6 November 2026. Channing requests a confidential reference from the current Headteacher.
  • The school prefers candidates to take the shared assessment at their current school if it hosts the test. Channing’s own sitting is on 27 November 2026; it hosts only one assessment date.
  • All candidates are interviewed regardless of assessment result, with face-to-face interviews on 5 January 2027 and online interviews arranged for overseas candidates.
  • Channing considers assessment, interview and school reference together. Outcomes are emailed on 12 February 2027; acceptance closes at noon on 3 March 2027.
