Entry information

Demetae Academy is a co-educational day school in Newcastle-under-Lyme. DfE now lists a registered age range of 3–16; the January 2026 ISI material-change report described the existing school as ages 3–13 and a planned phased extension to age 16. The school says it does not select on academic ability, and its admissions pages describe registration and a family meeting. They do not identify a Year 7 intake cycle. Contact the school to confirm whether Year 7 places are currently offered.

Before you apply

  • The DfE registered range is now 3–16, but the January 2026 ISI report describes the school’s then-current 3–13 provision and recommends a phased extension to 16. Ask whether Year 7 places are open for the intended intake.
  • The school says it does not select on academic ability. Its public admissions pages do not provide a dated Year 7 application cycle or sample materials.
