Year 8 entry

For September 2027 entry

Foyle College is a co-educational voluntary grammar in Londonderry. The school’s latest linked admissions criteria are for September 2026 and use SEAG outcomes; its September 2027 school-specific criteria were not yet published on 24 October 2026. For 2027 transfer, SEAG’s two papers assess English or Gaeilge and Mathematics; the family also completes Northern Ireland’s post-primary transfer application. The normal SEAG registration window closed 18 September; an emergency registration window on 19–20 October has also closed.

Northern Ireland SEAG

What the assessment covers

  • English or gaeilge
  • Mathematics

SEAG includes fully and partially selective member schools; this page links only to schools present in the Plusling Index.

Two Dickson Plan senior high schools in the index take pupils at 14+ and are not SEAG Year 8 members.

SEAG membership does not mean every applicant must take the assessment. Check the school’s selective and all-ability routes before choosing preparation or applying.
