Entry information

Hoe Bridge’s Senior Prep begins in Year 7, with 11+ places assessed through the online ISEB Common Pre-Tests, a current-headteacher reference and, for shortlisted applicants, an interview and activity day. Its published 2026/27 timetable lists a test on 21 November 2026 and offers on 8 February 2027; contact Admissions to confirm the intended intake year and availability.

  • Mathematics

Assessment provider: ISEB

The admissions process

  • The school describes Senior Prep as Years 7 and 8 and says it offers places from the end of Year 5. Its admissions information lists Year 7 as a main entry point.
  • For 11+ entry, candidates sit the computerised ISEB Common Pre-Tests and provide a confidential reference from their current headteacher. Applicants may sit at Hoe Bridge or at a current prep school that uses ISEB.
  • The school’s published 2026/27 timetable lists registration for 11+ entry and 13+ scholarships by 30 October 2026; the 11+ test on 21 November; shortlist notification on 14 December; interview/activity day on 26 January 2027; offers on 8 February; and acceptance by 1 March 2027. Confirm the intended September intake and current availability with Admissions.
  • Shortlisted applicants attend an individual interview, a short composition or English creative-writing task, group reading and team-building activities.
  • Hoe Bridge says no special preparation is required. ISEB’s family walkthrough helps children become familiar with the online player and accessibility options.
