Entry information
Include School Norfolk is specialist alternative provision for young people excluded or at risk of exclusion from mainstream education. The current DfE record registers ages 14–16, although Catch22's 2025–27 admissions policy describes provision for ages 11–16. Referrals come from a local authority or educational establishment, with suitability assessed individually. Families should ask their local authority or current school about the current eligible ages and referral route. This is not a general Year 7 application.
Entry stage: Specialist alternative provision; commissioned referral (registered ages 14–16)
The admissions process
- The current Catch22 admissions and referrals policy (2025–27) says a local authority or educational establishment must refer a young person.
- The school’s referral page says it receives referrals from headteachers in conjunction with Norfolk County Council and from The Short Stay School for Norfolk.
- The provider policy describes ages 11–16, while the current DfE registration is 14–16. Confirm eligible ages before seeking a referral. EHCPs naming the school are treated under the policy’s stated admission arrangements.
