Entry information

For September 2027 entry

Lathallan welcomes enquiries and visits throughout the year. Its published admissions journey leads from an enquiry and tour to a taster day, then registration following a successful taster. For August 2027 S1 scholarships, the application deadline was 23 October 2026 and assessments are scheduled for 3–4 November 2026; contact Admissions about current options.

Entry stage: S1 / senior-school entry

The admissions process

  • Start with an enquiry to Admissions. Arrange an in-person or virtual tour to meet the Headmaster and teaching team and discuss the appropriate year group and available places.
  • The school’s typical admissions journey includes a taster day with the child’s peer group. Following a successful taster, the school contacts the family to finalise registration.
  • S1 scholarships are a separate route for prospective and current pupils entering S1 in August 2027. The published application deadline was 23 October 2026; assessment days are 3 and 4 November 2026, with outcome letters and offer packs due before 11 December 2026.
  • All S1 scholarship candidates, including those applying for non-academic awards, take an academic assessment. The guidance also describes the relevant portfolio, audition or sports assessment; ask Admissions for the academic assessment format and access arrangements.
  • Means-tested bursaries are available to eligible families and may be held alongside a scholarship. Contact admissions@lathallan.org.uk or 01561 362220 to discuss admission, financial assistance and current availability.
