Entry information

Lecale Trinity is an 11–19 coeducational all-ability voluntary grammar school. Its latest published Year 8 policy is for September 2026: a non-selective route for pupils from named Category A primary schools and a selective SEAG route for pupils from named Category B schools. The school has not yet published its September 2027 criteria, so families should check which route applies in the new cycle.

Entry stage: Year 8 transfer (Northern Ireland)

The admissions process

  • Apply for Year 8 through the Education Authority transfer process
  • The published September 2026 policy used separate non-selective Category A and selective SEAG Category B routes, followed by an unfilled-places stage
  • Check the September 2027 school criteria when published; SEAG is not universal to all applicants
