The admissions process
- For September 2027 entry, the usual school route is via Kent PESE/Kent Test; the school’s updated 2027–28 policy says applicants must also complete the Secondary Common Application Form through their local authority.
- The school also offered an optional Mayfield Procedure for girls who had taken part in Kent testing but were unsuccessful. Registration closed 3 July 2026 (exceptional late registration ended 6 July); the school test took place on 12 September and results were emailed on 15 October. This option is now closed for the 2027 cohort.
- The optional school procedure used a CEM Durham computer-based assessment of verbal ability, numerical reasoning and non-verbal reasoning, plus a marked English writing paper. The school’s Mayfield Procedure guide links CEM’s familiarisation site.
- Kent Test results were issued on 15 October 2026. KCC says the 2026 grammar threshold was a total score of at least 345 with no single score below 111.
- Submit the Year 7 Secondary Common Application Form through your home local authority. Kent residents must apply by Monday 2 November 2026; if you live elsewhere, confirm your own authority’s deadline and process. Kent lists national offer day as 1 March 2027.
