The admissions process

  • The school publishes 120 places for September 2027, including up to 15 reserved for eligible Pupil Premium applicants under its admissions policy.
  • Results were emailed on 14 October 2026. The school lists a 2027 minimum qualifying score of 192 and 183 for LAC/PLAC/PP applicants; the eventual out-of-area offer score was not yet known.
  • List the school on the home-local-authority preference form; Newport’s own catchment and oversubscription rules apply.
  • Families seeking a late test should contact the school; acceptance for Newport’s late test does not automatically make its result acceptable to other partnership schools.
