Entry information

Nurture Education Trust provides a specialist placement for young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan whose needs are not being met in a mainstream setting. Placement is managed by the local authority; parents should first contact the child’s EHCP co-ordinator. The school normally serves ages 11–16, with age 17 in exceptional cases.

Entry stage: Specialist placement, ages 11–16 (17 only in exceptional circumstances)

The admissions process

  • The school says its students have EHCPs and that the local authority manages admission. Parents considering a placement should contact the child’s EHCP co-ordinator first.
  • The school describes placements for pupils whose mainstream setting cannot meet the needs set out in their EHCP.
  • The school says pupils can join from age 11 to 16; students already there may remain to age 17 in exceptional circumstances.

Before you apply

  • The school FAQ says current students have an EHC plan and that the local authority manages placement. Its broader mission wording does not establish a separate route for children without an EHC plan; ask admissions if circumstances differ.
