Entry information

Oscott Academy is a small independent Key Stage 4 school for pupils in Years 10–11. Its September 2026 policy describes admission by referral from local schools, SENAR or Birmingham City Council, followed by an interview, agreement, induction and a BKSB initial assessment to establish working levels; BKSB is used after referral, not as an 11+ entrance test.

Entry stage: Key Stage 4 (Years 10–11)

The admissions process

  • A school or placing authority sends the referral and booking form.
  • The pupil is interviewed and a pupil/parent agreement is signed.
  • The pupil completes induction and health-and-safety information.
  • A BKSB initial assessment establishes current working levels.
