For September 2027 entry

The on-time test was 26 September 2026 and results were sent on 16 October. The admissions process

  • Poole Grammar is a selective boys’ grammar school and shares one entrance test with the other Bournemouth and Poole consortium schools. The 2027-entry policy names English, Mathematics and Verbal Reasoning, with age-standardised aggregate scores.
  • Online test registration for the on-time September 2027 test closed at noon on 4 September 2026. The test was held on 26 September and results were emailed on 16 October. A pass does not guarantee a place; oversubscription rules also apply.
  • Families must name Poole Grammar on their home-authority secondary application. BCP residents have until 31 October 2026; others should follow their own council’s deadline. The school lists a late entrance test in February 2027; successful September-test candidates have priority.
  • For entry from September 2028, the school says its 11+ provider changes to Quest Assessments.
