Entry information
Start with a visit or enquiry, then register and discuss a Year 7 place with Admissions. The school invites Year 7 applicants to a Spring Term Assessment and Experience Day combining activities and academic assessment; where that timing does not work, assessment can take place on arrival. No preparation is required. Reports and a meeting with the Head also inform the process.
Entry stage: 11+ / Year 7
The admissions process
- Arrange an open event or personal visit, meet the Head and discuss your daughter’s interests, needs and proposed start date. The school accepts applications throughout the year, subject to availability.
- Complete the registration form and pay the current registration fee. Prepare identity documents and details of any learning or medical needs; the school requests the current school’s report and a reference.
- Year 7 applicants are invited to a Spring Term Assessment and Experience Day, with activities alongside academic assessment. If the admissions timetable does not allow this, assessment can take place on arrival. The school says no preparation is required before any admissions assessment.
- An optional experience day or boarding stay can help your daughter get to know school life. After an offer, confirm the place through the required acceptance documents and deposit. September starters are invited to a New Pupils’ Day in June.
- The school recommends applying at least two terms before joining, while allowing flexibility. Contact Admissions on 01845 575040 or admissions@queenmarys.org to confirm dates, availability and individual arrangements.
