Entry information
Red Balloon Cambridge supports young people aged 11–16 affected by bullying or trauma. Parents can contact the Cambridge centre directly to enquire and join its waiting list. The trust then considers a visit or taster, suitability and how a place will be funded with the current school or local authority. This is a specialist placement, not a standard Year 7 test route.
Entry stage: Specialist therapeutic placement for learners aged 11–16; referral-led rather than ordinary Year 7 entry
The admissions process
- Contact Red Balloon Cambridge to enquire and ask about the waiting list
- Discuss the young person’s needs and visit the centre or arrange a taster/home visit
- The centre considers suitability and discusses funding with the current school or local authority before agreeing a place
