Year 7 entry

For September 2027 entry

For September 2027 entry, Sir Thomas Rich’s uses the shared Gloucestershire grammar-school entrance test. Families must share their result with the school and apply through their local authority; achieving the qualifying standard alone does not secure a place.

Assessment
Gloucestershire Grammar Schools Entrance Test

What the assessment covers

  • Verbal ability
  • Numerical reasoning
  • Non verbal reasoning

A qualifying rank is not an offer: a school must also be listed on the secondary application.

The schools have announced FSCE as provider for September 2028 entry, so current GL materials may not describe that later test.
