Entry information

For September 2027 entry

For 2027–28, applications are open and the first consideration round is for applications completed by 15 January. Middle-school applicants in Grades 5–8 must provide a standardized test taken within 18 months; accepted options include ISEE, SSAT, MAP/NWEA and ERB CTP. ASL reviews results with the full application and does not use a passing score.

Entry stage: Middle School (Grades 5–8; grade placement is confirmed by the school)

What the assessment covers

  • Test depends on the chosen accepted assessment: ISEE or SSAT sections, or MAP/NWEA or ERB CTP results

Assessment provider: ISEE, SSAT, MAP/NWEA, ERB CTP

The admissions process

  • Apply through the admissions portal by 15 January 2027 for the first consideration round
  • Submit school records and a teacher recommendation (Grade 5–6: current classroom teacher)
  • Submit recent standardized test results for Grades 5–12
  • Admissions committee reviews the complete file holistically
