Year 7 entry
For September 2027 entry
For Year 7 entry in September 2027, girls can qualify through either the school’s own September assessment or the Kent age-11 assessment. The school’s test checks verbal, non-verbal and mathematical ability; the September 2026 Kent Test used GL Assessment. Kent residents must submit the separate secondary-school application by 2 November 2026; families elsewhere follow their home authority’s deadline. Applicants claiming the school’s local Pupil Premium priority must return its supplementary form by 31 October 2026.

The admissions process
- The 2027 admissions policy accepts either satisfactory results in the school’s own September test or selection through Kent’s age-11 assessment. The school test evaluates verbal, non-verbal and mathematical competency and uses skills similar to Key Stage 2 English and Mathematics.
- The Kent Test for September 2027 entry took place in September 2026 and was delivered by GL Assessment. Kent County Council says Quest Assessments will take over for the Kent Test delivered in September 2027 for September 2028 entry.
- Submit the Secondary Common Application Form through your home local authority. Kent residents have until 2 November 2026; families elsewhere should check their authority’s deadline. If claiming the school’s Pupil Premium priority for Folkestone and Hythe residents, return its supplementary form with evidence directly to the school by 31 October 2026. Contact the school about its own assessment and any late or alternative test arrangements.
- The school’s linked Shepway familiarisation assessment covers Non-Verbal Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Maths and English; the school also describes a handwritten creative-writing element in its Shepway test.
