Entry information

Urban Mission School is an independent mixed school for ages 11–16, providing placements for young people who need an alternative setting. Admissions are normally referred by a school, local authority or another organisation and include a visit and interview with the pupil, parent/carer and referrer; this is not a selective 11+ entrance test.

Entry stage: Secondary (ages 11–16)

The admissions process

  • The school’s referral process is aimed at placements, usually through schools, local authorities or agencies; families visit and the pupil, referrer and parent/carer meet informally. The policy says admission is not based on prior learning or attainment.
